Apologies We're working on the site and the navigation may be a little confused in places right now.

If you want to get really wet here's a seriously good way to do it. Dux Nuts' owner and skipper Iain MacDougall along with crew member Alex McClure sailed Dux Nuts two up 30n.m. from Adelaide to Port Vincent to compete in the 2025 King of the Gulf Regatta.

Apparently the boys encountered winds up to about 25 knots on the voyage and were a little damp on arrival in Port Vincent. Alex is a regular crew on R42 Venom which he testifies is a little bit drier to sail.

Iain reports: "The boat has been repainted, the soft spots on the hull fixed up, carbon reinforced bow for the screecher loads, beams refurbished and nearly all new sails (the kite is still to do) courtesy of Ben Kelly at Norths. The upwind screecher was super effective in 5-8 knots true wind".

"We managed a PHS win in the last race of the series but still have work to be competitive on OMR - I will need to sort the systems out so the boat can be run 3-up rather than 4-up".

Dux Nuts is 39 years old this year and one of the first boats off the drawing board after Born to Run. (Yes, we actually used drawing boards, ducks and flexible splines back then). I'm just a little bit older than that but this year celebrating 40 years of designing sailing yachts. Great to see those little trimarans still out there getting amongst it".
